"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"

The FutureNow! is the educational youth empowerment program of the African Resource Center. Participating middle and high school students develop academic and social skills they need to navigate current and future challenges of life.
SDA Study Site
We are grateful for our partnership with the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Elwell Street in Wyoming, Grand Rapids, for providing us space for our busiest study site. In 2021, 55 students are enrolled in the FutureNow! program at the SDA site.
WYV Study Site
We appreciate our collaboration with the management of the Whitney Young Village apartments for allowing us to use their common room for our meetings. Fifteen students regularly attend our FutureNow! programs at the WYV site in 2021.
WCC Study Site
Our third study site is at the Woodfield Community Center. Here, sixteen middle and high school students are enrolled in the FutureNow! in 2021. Asante sana to the WCC management for partnering with us on this important project.

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED …
Some people just quit if at first they don't succeed! But no! There is much wisdom in the adage, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
Success takes handwork and perseverance. The ongoing global battle with the coronavirus pandemic has not helped. Learning has become more challenging in a world burdened with emotional and health challenges.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going!
Our FutureNow! students are resolute. We will not quit! We will ….
… TRY, AND TRY AGAIN!
